One thing that catches people out: petit taxis cannot legally leave Agadir city, so they are not an option for the airport run. It is grand taxi, private transfer, shuttle, bus, or your own hire car.
Taxi from Agadir airport to Tamraght: the real price
Grand taxis wait outside arrivals. The whole vehicle to Tamraght runs 250 to 350 MAD depending on your negotiating, the hour, and the season; count on roughly 20 MAD per large bag on top and more after dark. The number to hold in your head is 300. Agree the total fare, for the car not per person, before any bag goes in the boot. Drivers take dirham only, so use the ATM in the terminal first.
If the quote will not come down and the rank is busy, walking a few steps and asking a second driver is normal and expected. Nobody is offended; it is how the market works.
Pre-booked private transfers
Fixed price, a name board in arrivals, and a driver who already knows your accommodation: 25 to 40 EUR per vehicle depending on operator and vehicle size, boards no problem if you flag them when booking. This is the option we point tired arrivals at, and the only one we recommend without caveats for landings after about 9 pm. Your accommodation can usually arrange one; most camps and guesthouses in Tamraght have a driver they use daily.
The 10 euro shuttle
Souk to Surf runs a pre-booked shared shuttle from the airport to Tamraght and Taghazout at 10 EUR a head, roughly 55 minutes. The catch is the timetable: one afternoon departure around 3:15 pm. If your flight lands late morning to early afternoon, this is the value play. If it lands at 7 pm, it is not an option.
Bus from Agadir airport to Tamraght
There is no direct public bus. The budget route is two stages: the airport bus into Agadir, then local bus 32 or 33 up the coast road to Tamraght, about 5.50 EUR all in and 1.5 to 2 hours plus waiting. It works, people do it, and with a board bag and a full day of travel behind you it is the option you will regret. Do it for the story or the savings, not for comfort.
Car hire
From about 19 EUR a day at the airport desks. It only makes sense if you will actually use it: surf trips to Imsouane or Boilers, Paradise Valley on your own schedule, supermarket runs to Agadir. For getting around the village itself you will not need it; see scooter and bike rental in Tamraght for the local answer.
Going on to Taghazout instead?
Same road, same options, four more kilometres. Tamraght comes first; Taghazout is about five minutes further and costs the same or marginally more by taxi, 300 to 350 MAD from the rank. Getting back to the airport from Tamraght
The return leg is easier to get wrong, because there is no taxi rank in the village. Book the ride the day before: your accommodation will arrange a driver at a fixed price, usually the same 250 to 350 MAD, or any transfer operator will do the reverse run. Leave a bigger margin than feels necessary; the N1 through Aourir clogs at rush hour and on souk day (Wednesday), and check-in at AGA is slower than the airport’s size suggests.
How we would do it. Pre-book a private transfer if you are arriving tired or after dark: 30 EUR for a fixed price and a name on a sign beats negotiating at midnight. Land around midday travelling light, and the 10 EUR shuttle is the value play.
